London, Apr 6. One day last week a comical wedding being
made up at the brandy-shop in the mint, the loving couple
went to an alehouse and sent for the parson to stitch them
together according to the laudable custom of that place. [9
lines saying groom could not pay alehouse bill, wife asked
him to let her pawn his waistcoat but absconded with it] . .
. on which he sate down in sober sadness and wrote the
following lines.
Acquainted, married, lost, all in an hour,
No luscious meat, but yet space for four!
However, since it is a quick dispatch,
Meet me no more, its no unhappy match.
